AIDA KAAS WOMENSWEAR 2024 CAPSULE COLLECTION - MARGO

Margo is a collection dedicated to Margarita, a character in Mikhail Bulgakov’s famous novel “The Master and Margarita.” She is a rich housewife who’s unhappily married and falls in love with the Master, a talented author. We see her transform in the novel from a bored housewife to a passionate lover to the Hostess of the Grand Ball and, later, a witch. Throughout the story, she displays strength, bravery, and adventurous side. The Master, on the other hand, is a sensitive person who, under the pressure of scrutiny and censorship, burns his manuscripts and ends up in an asylum. Fortunately, Margarita later meets Woland (Satan disguised as a professor and a magician). She agrees to host Satan’s Grand Ball in exchange for reuniting with the Master and bringing back his work from the ashes. Woland famously says, “Manuscripts do not burn.” My interpretation of this quote is that no matter what happens, the works of art or talent cannot be erased or burnt. This is the lesson creative people must learn during the process - true talent deserves to be seen and expressed no matter the circumstances.

Look 1 - satin cape embroidered with rhinestones to symbolize Woland and one of his disguises - a magician.

The fire represents destruction and chaos, but it also has the power to cleanse and purify.

Look 2 - mesh top and skirt with a detachable satin bow. The see-through ensemble stands for female sensuality while the bow shows a playful side.

Inspired by one of the novel’s characters, Hella, a seductive succubus.

Look 3 - another sensual look with a mesh bodysuit and skirt adorned with hand-sewn beads and pearls.

Organza bolero adds a dramatic flare. This is what a guest would wear to the Satan’s grand ball.

Look 4 - draped gown with beautiful lines to celebrate a woman’s body. It is elegant but magnetic at the same time - just what Margarita embodies.

Look 5 - wool cape to bring out the coquettish side of any woman. Its beauty lies in its simplicity, and the bow adds a hint of glamour.

Red is a signature color of Aida Kaas, and every season, the color is used to illustrate various sides of a woman’s personality.

Look 6 - tweed dress that can be worn independently or paired with an elegant blouse or turtleneck.

It perfectly encapsulates a “Femme Fatale,” the strong side of Margarita that fights for her love.

BURGUNDY RED PATENT LEATHER HANDBAGS

For the first time, Aida KaaS is presenting handbags. What better color to choose than red? It is a signature color, after all. This time, it is a mix of blood and burgundy red - signaling lust and potential danger (Margarita becomes a witch after being poisoned by red wine).

What better material to choose than patent leather? It is as glamorous as it gets - Aida KaaS is all about statement pieces.
